At Villum Foundation, we pursue an open and constructive collaboration with the press. We are happy to participate in interviews and provide facts and knowledge about the foundation’s work.

Use of logo

The black logo should be placed on a white or light background with sufficient free space around it, ensuring it appears airy and readable regardless of size. 

If the background colour is very dark or the readability is otherwise compromised, the logo can be used in a negative space or with a white background.

Mention of the foundation

Our name is always written in three words, each starting with a capital letter: ‘Villum Foundation’.

In press releases and presentations, the following standard text can be used:

Villum Foundation is a philanthropic foundation that supports technical and natural sciences as well as environmental, social and cultural purposes both domestically and internationally. In 2022, the foundation distributed approximately DKK 1 billion.

Founded in 1971 by engineer Villum Kann Rasmussen – the founder of, among others, VELUX A/S and other companies in the VKR Group, Villum Foundation’s mission to bring daylight, fresh air and a better environment into people’s everyday lives. Villum Foundation is the principal shareholder in the VKR Group.

Acknowledgements

For the sake of transparency regarding funding sources, it should, to the extent possible, be disclosed (in publications, on the relevant website etc.) that your project is funded by the foundation, preferably using our logo according to the applicable guidelines (see above).
